About Us
Seed Family Farm is a small calf-to-finish cattle operation on 80 acres of beautiful farmland just outside Englehart, Ontario. We specialize in homegrown farm to table beef, as well as chickens, turkeys and some eggs. We'd like to say we're a straight-arrow operation, no buzzwords, no social media hashtags, just great old-fashioned homegrown meat, and service by people who care.Â

The farm is owned and operated by Emily and Jason Seed, who grew up in the Temiskaming area and recently settled near Englehart. Both have grown up in the agricultural industry and are involved with the ag community locally.
Jason enjoys growing crops and is also currently the District 15 (Northern Ontario) Director for Grain Farmers of Ontario, so give him a wave if you ever see him on his blue tractor, or stop in and chat; he'll talk your ear off about anything related to crops and agriculture.Â

Emily enjoys the purebred and show beef industry. Every summer you might see her halter breaking cattle, grooming them, and training them to walk up and down our Wendigo Road for the New Liskeard Fall Fair.Â

Now we can't forget the most important member of the farm, 2-year-old Elliott. He collects the eggs and likes to wander around the yard (usually with one of his dad's tools in his hand).

Don't forget the good dog Jimothy; he may be big, but he's also the softest doggo, and always willing to accept pets. We also recently added a puppy, Dwight, to the farm dog crew, although he is still learning his manners.

As the title suggests, we strive to serve local, great-tasting products, full stop. If you are not satisfied with something you have purchased from Seed Family Farm, let us know immediately so we can resolve the issue.
2) Honesty
Being honest is more than just not telling lies. It is at its root, what all businesses should strive to be in every transaction they make, even if it costs them a sale.

That is why we strive to be transparent. Ask us how we raise our animals and why we use certain practices. We are happy to answer any questions.
3) Dedication
It can be easy to forget why we do this when we've been up in the middle of the night with our young child or the cattle get out on the road in the early morning, but trust us... we wouldn't want to be anywhere else. Being able to raise a family how we have been raised, in tune with nature and enjoying all the perks working for yourself has to offer, it's a wonder why most people don't do it!
